A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I am a strong community leader. I represent a generation of empowered women and men who want to see real change in our community. I strongly believe asking questions, helps solve the problem. I love Wood Buffalo and have shown my dedication to improving our quality of life through my professional and volunteer endeavours.

I am a Mom of two who orders pizza more often than she should. With two young children, I understand the struggle to find the "balance" that a lot of us face. My husband, Nick is a local photographer and a Traditional Drummer with the group, War Cry and I am his number one fan.

I am a longtime community member living in Wood Buffalo. As Father Merc graduate "Go Trappers!" and Keyano College Alumni, I have had the honour of seeing our city develop over the generations.

I truly believe we are stronger together. I am a proud ally and advocate for Indigenous People in the RMWB and Treaty 8. I currently serve as the Treaty 8 Representative for Indigenous Early Learning and Childcare on the Senior Advisory Technical Table.

I am a strong supporter of making Wood Buffalo a safe and welcoming place for people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transexual, two-spirited, queer, questioning intersexual, asexual, pansexual, agender, gender queen, bigender and/or gender variant.

With my knowledge of government relations, strategic planning, and human services, I plan to implement sustainable projects to strengthen ALL areas of Wood Buffalo. My years of experience working and volunteering in the urban, rural and Indigenous areas gives me a more complete understanding of the needs of the RMWB as a whole.
